Don't see how you don't get how dead on that article Lee posted was. I've been planning on writing something here about the "War On Terror" and it would include the points Lee's article made. I know you're going round and round with a variety of folks here...you and Eric make quite a team...and with so many balls in the air anybody could throw up a stinker like this:

Puh-lease. I call it being prepared, aware and alert. Should we ask them to just keep quiet about everything and hope for the best?

Look what happened when we were "complacent".

 I just want to ask you what you've done each time there's been a new alert or warning. I can tell you, in all honesty, I've done nothing. I go about my business. I don't climb a tree with my binoculars and scan the area for "suspicious activity" or Arab looking folks I've never seen before. You think a lot of people do? What do you do Dale? Do you wrap your house in plastic? Run to the market to add to your stash of bottled water, ammo, and batteries? Jump on a golf cart and check all the sand traps and water hazards on your favorite course for mines? Run out into the central office at work and scream "Yellow alert! Yellow alert! Condition zebra everybody! Set your phasers on kill!"

I can see you now standing there in downtown Portland, eyes darting side to side, sweating and shaking and twitching and blurting out "I saw that buddy! I'm watching all of you! I have outstanding peripheral vision! Nothing gets by me!"

Somehow I have you figured for being a bit to level headed for this nonsense Dale...and I think like me...you ignore it...because it reeks of CYA political bullshit and as the article states terrorism is a political tool for this administration and they are using it to maximum effect. I know you can feel that one in your bones Dale...
