My first 45 was Billy Don't Be A Hero - Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods

I have very strong memories about that song.  It was released in 1974 so I was 9 or 10. I was out at dinner with my folks at a funky little hot dog stand that had jukebox speakers at every table. Someone played that song and I think for the first time I listened to the lyrics of a record, and I got so sad for Billy and his fiancé. I begged and pleaded for the 45 and I got it along with my first phonograph. A little red and white flip top job, with the built in speaker.

See I told you I had very vivid memories of that particular event.

My first LP - ELO - DiscoveryWARNING: Image embedded by poster.

Swept up in the magic orchestrations of  Jeff Lynne and  Shine a little Love.

My first CD - Joshua Tree.

Thats my story.
