nothing cheap downtown, but there are some cheapo motels near hopkins airport on brookpark road.

you can then taxi back to the airport and take the rapid from there to terminal tower which is right downtown.

the rock hall is less than a mile north of terminal tower and gund arena is less than a mile south.
