Although I don't own a gun(haven't carried one since HS), owning a gun is necessary to protect yourself against criminals. florida and other places with(or without) concealed gun laws adequate prove that honest armed citizens deters the crooked.

Or against a criminal government, for that matter!-) Which I believe a great many of you believe we have. Interestingly my father is vested in our system but he has unregistered guns because as he explained to me 30 years ago: the government can't be trusted.
