To be honest, I'd heard this stat several times but never actually verified if it is correct. "Millions" may be an exaggeration. I did, however, find this;

I guess what I'm trying to say is Iraq and Vietnam have many similarities. Pulling out our troops may create even more disasterous ones. We both agree leaving Iraq because it's "unpopular" or too many of our troops are getting killed, is a bad idea. And, yes, it's a mess.
