I am interested in hearing opinions on the ANWR issue at some point in the near future.  I support opening ANWR for drilling (hugely unpopular I know), but don't have time to get into a long post about why at the moment.  This seems to be an issue that has been mentioned briefly here several times though, and I'm curious as to why so many are especially passionate about that issue in particular.

Have you read Sean Hannity's book? It has a chapter on ANWR stating that even the govenor of Alaska supports drilling there and he is a Dem. My read on this is that it is a massive smokescreen and they(the Dems) are stonewalling for some other reason. I'm just delighted that the Dems picked Nancy Pelosi as minority whip.  Should be a breeze for the next 6 years for the Bush and the boys :):)
