Icon Blues and Hobbits...

I'm sure we have more in common than just a love for jazz and blues. There's the love of  fine ale...beautiful women...peace (very frowned upon these days)...and of course the absurd. Plus we've both read Thich Nhat Hanh. It just happens you're three feet shorter than me and have to shave your feet on a regular basis but hey, you have been called the "Richard Gere of Hobbits" whatever the hell that means.

When I get over there to visit the Shire, and I will, I plan on drinking some of that fine Shire ale and seeing you play some of that hairy foot stomping Hobbit blues.

You know, when I lived on the river in Maynard there was a little blues pub just in front of my house. Kim Wilson used to pop in there and play just about 3 or 4 times a year, maybe more. I had more than one night sitting at the bar listening to him play. We have some fine ales here too ya know. Wachusett Brewery is right up the road from me. It's a local place and they only sell their brew in Massachusetts. Don't know how it would stack up to the Shire ales but I think it'd do just fine.
