I just have to say I think there exists equal opportunity fraud. Here in CA by the sea, we have a Dem Sec of State, Kevin Shelley, behaving not only in a highly partisan manner, but illegally so, a few examples, he required his staff to fundraise on state time, he allegedly used fed grant money for voter registration and elections, to fund democrat party activities, One of the latest charges, his office is dragging their feet on an investigation into voter registration fraud in a district that was traditionally a dem stronghold, but voted republican last election (dem's are worried about her 'cause she is a latina woman, smart, and republican, oh the horror! someone who doesn't fit into the little cubbyholes our politicians prefer to stuff us into) it seems this little district has an extremely high number of "twins" registered at the same address, here's a snippet from a SF Chronicle article,

For example, in the 80th Assembly District of Republican Bonnie Garcia, hundreds of suspect "twins" appear to be eligible to vote on Nov. 2. Garcia wants Shelley to clean up these questionable Republican and Democratic registrations in what could be a tight race for Garcia in Imperial County. Shelley spokeswoman Carol Dahmen says Shelley is "aggressively investigating" election oddities in Imperial County.

Yet The Chronicle reports that Shelley handed over federal election funds in Imperial County to hard-core Democratic activist Primitivo Castro, who is running a "Democratic voter registration drive" aimed against Bonnie Garcia. The paper also reports that Eric Jaye, a Shelley consultant, is managing the campaign for Garcia's Democratic opponent.
