Stewart was on Crossfire last Friday afternoon. Evidently the hosts thought he was coming on the show to promote his new book. Stewart had other ideas. He began by asking them why their show was so ... (comedic pause as only Stewart can do) ... "bad" and stated how the show was "bad for America". He pleaded with them to "please help us" and promote civil discourse on the issues facing the country. He followed that with some accusations about how they had failed as journalists by letting the partisan hacks on Crossfire get away with the answers they do. He drew voluminous applause from the audience. Both Begala and Carlson were defensive but Begala kept mostly quite. Carlson retorted by making fun of the questions Stewart asked Kerry on the Daily Show (ex. "So how are you holding up?") and said that Stewart was much funnier on his show than Crossfire. Stewart responded by saying that Carlson "could be a dick on any show". I don't think Stewart's gonna be invited back.

Stewart followed up on the Daily Show last night by again stating that Crossfire "blows" and calling all four hosts "dicks" because he didn't want anyone to feel left out.
