Well--in this area--near Fenway---you have very tight spaces--which are littered with maybe 15-20 bars in a few block radius. Booze flows way too freely. Fenway is also right in the middle of the area between BU, Northeastern and Emerson--which leads to more people pouring out of campus parties (where people, of course, can be even more blotto). It's a very tight space to jam in 30-50,000 people--especially when there are 5% of them who are simply morons looking for havoc all the time. That many morons in a crowd can lead to problems for a much wider swatch of than the 5%. All of this is to say, I don't really know why--but it is disgusting as it gets and not indicative of the larger crowd, I think--nor of my city.
