Damn it!  I'd really like to go to that show, but The Newport sucks these days.

I've had bad experiences in a lot of venues but I sure wouldn't let it keep me from this show.

The old "crowd around the stage" scenario is always the worst, it can bring out the beast in folks for sure. I had a similar situation as yours at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach for a Jethro Tull show where the girl next to me was , I guess, worried that her man's spot would be absorbed as he went to do whatever he went to do. The place was so packed that going anywhere was virtually impossible and we were leaning against the stage.Anyway, she gets up against me and literally puts her full weight against me with an elbow in my rib. I got really irritated but I never lost my cool or my "spot". I'm sure we could all go on and on with bad crowd stories but I wont let it keep away from the music.
