In my ward we had over 1,400 voters, where there's never been over a grand. Over 400 registered at the polls, and they even briefly ran out of registration forms.
Of the 72 likely Kerry voters I had to get to the polls, 69 showed up, and one got committed to a "home" of some sort (save it, Dale). The other two may still be out there... The organizers with Move On were quite pleased with the results from all the screaming when I called in.
I was salivating when I first arrived and saw a republican't observor there, just imagining all the ways I was going to torment him. But the dirty bastages used a member of the clergy! Argggh! So I played nice with him, but did manage to razzle both of his cronies that came in - one of which told me, redfaced, "we cleared it with our lawyers" when I bitched that he was wearing a W pin. He stomped out when I told him "it's nice when you can just respect the voting process as it was intended".
