"Kerry's supporters are reaching out to blacks by demanding that black cabdrivers in New York City who support Bush be fined and suspended. When taxi driver Etzer Jerome told his sensitive Upper West Side passenger he had voted for Bush, she demanded that he pull over and let her out, yelling at him: 'How can a black man vote for Bush?' and 'I'm going to f--- you!' She then filed a complaint against Jerome with the Taxi and Limousine Commission alleging that Jerome had 'verbally harassed her.' He was fined $500 and given a three-week suspension.
Interesting post there. I think I have told you about my correspondance with David Knopfler. Well that correspondance ended about a week or so ago. He kept trying to sway me away from Bush. He was nice in the beginning about it but I bit back with the abortion issue and that set him off. And he did go into a tirade using the "F" word repeatedly. This was before the election results were in. No telling how pissed he is now.

The above story typlifies some of what the right ring press refer to as the liberal elite. Not that the same thing does not happen on the right because I'm sure we could find stories of such. I think the biggest 2 things that will come out of this elections are whether a "mandate" was sanctioned by the voters and what will happen with any Supreme Court justices that will be replaced during this adminstration. Arlen Spector has definitely dug himself in a hole that I doubt he will dig out of. My opionion of the Supreme Court remains unchanged. I think we need more accountability from these people and interpretation of the law should not be based on personal or political beliefs but the letter of the law. I do not think we will see a reversal of Roe vs. Wade yet but it might happen depending on what happens with the Supreme Court appointments.
