Icon Something about our soliders not much discussed often

The new issue of Vanity Fair has an article about the depleted uranium used in our weaponary and its affect upon the health of our soldiers.  I have not read it yet, but it has already got me thinking about the future and how little attention is being focused toward the future and their health.

It seems to me that if we look back at how Vietnam veterans were treated healthwise, or for that matter, all war veterans, we shall be seeing at the least the same response -  more of the same.   But I personally think it will even be worse.    And it does not appear that any politician is addressing this at all.

I think that over the next decade these soldiers are going to be more broken and damaged than any other group of soliders in US history.  And what I think will compound this is that as time goes by and information gets out, more and more American people will realize that the Bush Admin was less than truthful about Iraq.
