Just curious, what teachers have been important to the DBIS boardwatchers?
Maybe even DB will supply an answer of his own...
I had a wonderful third grade teacher that took a special interest in me and pushed me along well. A couple of years ago I wrote her a letter telling her of the impact she had on my life and was surprised to get a return letter back telling me she remembered me and my letter made her summer.
Then there was a high school sociology teacher who introduced his class to wonderful music and social commentary. Who would have thought that Lynrd Skynrd would have written a critical song about guns, Saturday Night Special, while also writing a song in response to Neil Young's commentary on the south in Southern Man.
One last teacher was a woman who taught eleventh grade Science Fiction class. She was able to get me to start reading books at an enormous clip.

So far (guess 40 might be a little old to get any *new* mentors),
