i know, i know, Blue Merle sounds just like you-know-who. still, i liked their single Burning in the Sun, and tried to see 'em for free the other night after i got off work but was too late. i wouldn't pay for the experience but was curious to see what else they had in their tepid little songbook. sure, the singer sounds like C. Martin but musically Blue Merle is more aggressive, at least judging from the single i heard. in no hurry to get the album, but did like that one song. whatever. odds are they'll fade soon enough.
