Hey Hairball, you old book worm!

I'm reading Contours of Descent by Robert Pollin. Dry socio-economic stuff, but I love it. In summary (so far): without government regulations the entire planet is in for a very rough ride economically. Interesting tidbit: Even as developing nations are infused with capital (cheap manufacturing) their economies are NOT getting stronger. The reason is that cheap imported goods are supplanting the local products, to the point that employees fleeing the domestic industries are sucked into the export manufacturing firms, without the workers ever gaining financial leverage to get higher wages.

I am also working on George Carlin's When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops? It's decent, but falls a little flat since much of his humor is in his facial impressions and voice. Catch it on DVD.
