Come on now, you grumpy old men! Why does a band have to be original to be enjoyable? I've seen enough quirky ones that suck.
Besides, if one happens to like the 80's sound, why should they be relegated to picking through the bargain bin? The production value alone (clarity as well as the right bass mix for subwoofers) gives the Killers an additional boost over any musty release from an "original" band made up of current cubicle dwellers. (not to pick on FOS specifically)
