This was a character from Joe Wambaugh's classic police novel "The Choirboys"...(a hilariously wonderful book).This character was always missing the meaning of most everything and would cry out, "Whatdoyoumean, Whatdoyoumean"......and of course his first name was Dean...I'm still missing the point!
