Yep, if he burned one with Gord...I'd be there with bells on.  Don't get me wrong, I did like the book, it's just that his attention to Mary was soooo disproportionate to the amount he spent on the other chapters, that I thought it was not only obvious, but funny. 

What happened, I think, is he had some bad experiences when he first smoked in the 60's a/o 70's...recently discovered some of the new genetics that is out there now, and it's like someone turned a light on.   He's wild about it...obviously.
