On the player...Norah Jones - "Come Away With Me" - I cannot recommend this cd highly enough. If
sensous love had a sound, it would sound like this cd. It makes you want to search out a
nice quiet piano bar with a loved one and just sit there having a drink together waiting out
the rain or watching the snow. Hem - "Rabbit Songs" - A cd filled with Irish ballads and music. A lucky find. Their
song "Half An Acre" was featured on a compliation cd I get and hooked me. A very
lovely sound."When The Sun Goes Down - The Secret History of Rock and Roll" - A four disc
compilation of how the early blues influenced rock and roll. CDUniverse.com has the
cheapest price on this set.Queen's Greatest Hits I, II, and III - I grew up loving queen and to this day the thought of
Freddie Mercury's untimely death saddens me. "These Are the Days" is one of their
sweetest songs.Bruce Springsteen's "The Rising" - I have not heard a more powerful song "You're
Missing" in a long time and one that shows the subtlety of losing a loved one so strongly.
Also, "Paradise", sung from the point of view of a suicide bomber is similar to that of
Steve Earle's "John Walker Blues" but has mysteriously missed the radar of those unable
to listen to music with an open mind and see it for what it is not.And lastly, for good fun,Queens of the Stone Age - "Songs for the Deaf" - just good ole rock and roll of a harder
edge.Best wishes to all on the holidays, and give that Norah Jones a try.....EEE
