Jesca Hoop. Google her and you'll find stuff. In my now ahem 25 years of working with female vocalists, she stands with the very very best, and that includes Joni Mitchell. I presented her with an almost impossible melody, and she just ate it for breakfast and stood up swinging. Staggering singer, lyricist, musician. She has released some kind of an album, I'm not sure exactly what, but keep your eyes on this girl, because she is it. Unfortunately the film I brought her in on isnt scheduled for release until late 2007, but she should have a proper studio album out before that. And in the meantime... Omigod!
