London vs. Paris?
Paris is probably naturally better suited but I can't help but notice how one country supported our efforts in Iraq while the other didn't. Which will be rewarded?
If world opinion matters, it will be London's loss although they are probably more deserving.
Looking at the list of other contenders now out of the ring, Madrid, New York and Moscow, the finalists of London vs. Paris seems very political.
This is the year that it should have been held in Switzerland if politics is going to enter into the choice of venue.
Did anyone hear that Jacques Chirac said that after Finland, England has the worst food. What a typical French remark. He obviously hasn't eaten in Helsinki or London in recent years.
