The Stamford, Conn based company, Weekly Reader Corp. that
publishes Teen Newsweek, Current Events, Current Health and
Career World employed Noel Neff as an editor. Neff faces two
charges of using "the Internet with the intent to travel to have sex
with a minor," FBI spokeswoman stated.According to MetroWest Daily News of Framingham, [MA]
authorities informed MetroWest, Neff was arrested in the parking
lot of Franklin Village Mall. Allegedly the Weekly Reader editor had
arranged to meet with a minor for sex.
According to the FBI, Neff is currently being held until he appears
before U.S. District Court in Boston.
Neff’s arrest comes on the heals of a former Newsweek publisher
and 9-year member of the New York State Board of Regents,
Robert M. Johnson, being indicted for downloading child
pornography on his business computer and attempting to destroy
the evidence once Johnson became aware he was under
investigation. See
