Though this is on a far smaller scale, Andrea, I'll relate what I encountered yesterday at a neighborhood party. We attended a farewell party for friends at the home of people we didn't know. The couple who threw the party have one child and a friggin mansion. I'm guessing they have 3,000-4,000 sf of living space, and two hummers and a Cadillac Escalade in the driveway! Granted, this level of vulgar, conspicuous consumption is extreme, but it's not that far out of the mainstream in some suburbs. And of the hummers had a "support our troops" magnet! These fools are clueless that they are subsidizing the terrorists that are killing our troops! We have met the enemy and it is us!
