Here is a fascinating article in the new Time magazine (8-29-05) that reports there were 880 separate murders in Baghdad in July alone. These 880 do not include the deaths from war.http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,109648...For context - Baghdad is 5 million, while NYC is 8 million and had 571 homicides in the entire year of 2004.Guess things are getting better after all....
