Hi All,
Barbara Buckland here, newbie in Seattle. In speaking with my Seattle music buddies, many of whom have family in the diaster area, we are going to try and unite and raise $ and awareness for the victims of this disaster.
Maybe all us musicians on this list can have benefits in our areas and we can generate more momentum, funds, equipment, publicity, etc for those suffering from this many-faceted (natural, governmental, human, etc) disaster.
This is just in the thought stage for me here in Seattle, but it won't take long once we get the ball rolling! In fact, I'm just now going to send an email to my list of 450+ soliciting help.
What do you say?
Take care,
Born for Love
David Baerwald
Triage
Every morning when I rise
I wipe the sleep out of my eyes
Ask myself the question
Why oh why was I born?
I go wandering the streets
Bodies on the sidewalk
Huddling for heat
The whole world looking like some losing streak
Why was I born?
I get home and you're not there
But your clothes are hanging
And your scent's in the air
If it ain't an answer
I don't care why I was born
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
I was born to love
Last night I saw those pearly gates
Tried to shove my way through
They said, "You gotta wait
You've got to get some question straight
Like why you were born."
They said, "What do you think
That it was made for you
Why should anyone care
What it is that you do?
The road gets set you got to see it through
That's why you were born."
I got up and I saw them all
All God's creatures great and small
I came in clear as a local call
Why I was born
I was born to love you
I was born to love you
I was born to love
