My stepson is a deputy sheriff in Shreveport. He's been on OT for the last couple of weeks handling the transfer of prisoners out of the New Orleans area.
His main comment? The prisoners have been treated way better than any of the unfortunate, law-abiding citizens.
Guess that'll learn 'em! In America we expect our poor to be in prison, because we sure won't proactively look out for them otherwise.
At this point I'm just waiting for the "three lootings and you're out!" legislation.
