I didn't know there was a time you weren't disappointed in me. Although, once!!!, you did say you hated to agree with me, lol.-)
Anyhow sir, as I neglected to mention it above, I found nothing idiotic in the posted article. In fact, my research involving Katrina indicate the man is pretty well on the mark. Particularly, concerning the duties of FEMA and the failures of government. Which by definition, were not failures, from FEMA's perspective. Meaning I believe, that the President meant what he said about what's his name, the former FEMA head, when he complemented him for doing an outstanding job.
Just so we're clear David: I view the whole incident as a preconceived Urban Renewal project awaiting plausible opportunity to remove large quanities of poor NO residents from their property and from the area entirely, in order to minimize interference when Kelo is applied. so that NO can become some sort of glittering something or other on the Gulf Coast. Likely involving casinos and corporate headquarters. Just my guess.
On the separate issue of our nation being, in fact, on the ropes; I sadly agree.
So please be more specific as to your disappointment.
Be well, armed, David.
ps You seem to forget Pat...I've not only been a hated rightwinger on DBIS -and I guess that has changed since I'm no longer lumped in with you, Dale, KG, Marc or that fellow from Atlanta- but you and another use to really try to villify me by suggesting, as I recall, I was someone other than me. :o) No worries though brother, I'm writing with a smile in my heart.
