I certainly wasnt trying to paint the waiter as a "loser". The point I
was trying to make was that when a person is forced to that degree
of sycophancy that a split occurs between his "self" and his
behavior, and that psychic damage inevitably occurs. I get the
same message from David Mamet's "Glengarry Glen Ross".
