It was a very interesting day yesterday. The vice president's right hand man was indicted and a public trial is now on the horizon. All evidence (now made "official" by this investigation) shows there has been corruption at the highest levels of government. Rove and Cheney have been shown to be central figures in this debacle. More indictments may follow and like a good prosecutor Fitzgerald laid out for the public that if this were the case he would not be allowed to discuss it in any way shape or form.
This is how it begins. Facing 30 years in prison and million dollar fines people tend to begin to talk and decide they are not going to be the fall guy for others. Once it is made clear there are ways to reduce a sentence if you just tell us who else and how they were involved things begin to tumble out of the closet. Others who fear implication start trying to cut a deal before they are charged. We now have an administration that is completely crippled and it's inner circle has been breached. They cannot trust one another. There's no rat like a political rat trying to save his own ass for future considerations.
