That stretch in there from Panama City eastward is affectionately known as The Redneck Riviera. I kinda like it. Some of the nicest beaches I've been on. White, sugary sand, with dunes in many places. You can stare out as the sun sets over the Gulf and think about the world out there, and dream of sailing to wherever... At least that's what it did for me. I'd like to go back there again. Lot's of little honky tonks with good local bands playing.
