Why..because it is disturbing, and sad to know that this goes on everyday to some degree all over this country.  The US is the no.1 nation statistically, in leading the world in child abuse.   Why?   (I can just hear the DB song..."Ask me why...I don't know"). 

If you found it upsetting..that's probably good, in a way, though I, in  no way intended it for "shock" effect.   Awareness is essential, if we, as a society are going to change.   We cannot remain silent and complacent about disturbing trends in our world.   As you seemed to indicate, you might not have known about this, had I not posted.  All the more justification for the post therefore, and I am, at least in your situation, satisfied that it served some purpose.
