No shidt, I dig the opening scene. ...Not talkin’ about the circus monolog, ...which is brilliant in itself, but:  the “is there anybody out there” eye...followed by the beboppin’ hot chick-on-a-loop in the haughty diner car, ...then BOOM...brink of insanity!  boom, ...boom boom boom boom {aAHHHHHH]  Hahahh...Great.

...& then...sweet promise devoured in a gulp....

A query regarding The Passion of The Christ:

M’ sweet ocean-eyed bride and I watched The Passion again last night, ...first time since the theatre.  I was thinking now, before this Christmas, was a good time to share it with my older son [14/15]

...so first a second viewing was appropriate, imo. 

It was my intention to make a meaningful coming-of-age-of-sorts-moment of it, ...smudge, talk, read from an essay which most vividly provides a synopsis for the story, ...wear my medicine and let him wear his mother’s [her matriarchal medicine] over his heart.  Break some bread & sip a sip of pinot, set the speakers just right, redirect th’ lights, ...a well-aimed ceremony apropos the notion...while m’ bride and our younger son is out in town for the evening....

BUT...THEN while watching it again...& upon culmination, ...sisters and brothers (if that’s not too presumptuous of me), ...well, it’s just heavy & I don’t think it’s that time yet.  We’re talkin’ about a well-rounded kid here, man, but...   Heady, heavy visceral smack-down. 

Anybody on this poignant board share the film with their progeny?  Hey, no offense intended to those who shun the story...or have only an earnest idea [like me].  But it is Christmas, Spirit Moon, for many...& something’s being discarded here.  If it is evangelical nonsense and chains that’s being taken-with-a-rock-of-salt, then great...it’s about time, ...but if it is the notion of Grace, a flickering light of hope, sanctuary, providence & benevolence & a solemn perception of a great spirit warrior son that’s being cloaked in PC drivel

...then I’m gettin’ anxious...& not just a little pizzed....
