Found out. He actually lives in Nashville, but spends a few months of the year in Adelaide. His wife is from there.
And...stranger still...he was born in Winston-Salem NC, one of my old stomping grounds. Amazing amount of musicians from that area. It was my introduction to the "South" and what a shock it was back in 1986.
