There's good people out there---Clark, Schweitzer, even my
"buddy" Gore. There are good proposals-- the Democrats Security
Plan, The Apollo Alliance's energy plan... The energy plan alone
could help the economy start to recover, could put America back
into the manufacturing business, ie the manufacture of energy, and
a revitalisation of our dying auto industry. But they arent
supported by the DLC-types in the party. Reid, who I like overall,
has not succeeded in creating a unified party. The Clintons?
Again, putting themselves above the needs of the country and the
world. I really believe that a Hilary presidential bid would be an
absolute catastrophe... She will be unable to truly activate the
progressive base, and will most certainly activate the wingnuts,
and may actually help to unify what is certainly going to be a pretty
split Republican base. I wish Bill would drop the hobnobbing and
power playing, and get to work creating coalition amongst the
Dems, but Hilary's got to pull her hat out of the ring, definitively,
for that to happen. Sad to say, I don't see her doing that., I think
her personal ambition is too vast.
