I've watched some of the coverage of the anniversary. Fascinating stuff.

I'm particularly touched by the clowns running around blowing buildings up with dynamite. They were using the wrong kind of charges so it was either expanding the fire or not dropping the building - just producing a bunch of fine kindling. Brings to mind a Rumsfeld directed military operation.

I also enjoy the reminiscing about forced servitude - cops and soldiers walking around forcing people to work at gun point. Did they ever quantify they number killed by the "authorities"? 50? 100? And those pansies at Guantanamo think they have it rough?

It will be interesting to see what happens when the big one does come and wipes that town out.. again. They claim they are more prepared than ever, but looking at what happened in 1989 has me thinking they are simply Bushing themselves.
