A real solution to the immigration problem:
Why the hell don't we quit pussyfooting around and just start marching on our neighbors? Mexico already gave us all or parts of several states - why don't we see if we can pinch a few more? If we can work our way far enough south it will get a lot easier to secure the border - cuz it will only be a fraction of the distance.
Besides, we never really did pay them back for allying with the Germans during WWI. Those bastages under Pancho Villa invaded us less than a century ago so it's high time for a little quid pro quo.
