we were attacked unprovoked on 9/11/01.  And as of late as yesterday they advertise again the lunatics they are. 

hardly unprovoked, and this is probably where our levels of self-awareness and sense of personal and national responsibility cause us to differ. we have a deeply involved and vastly tentacled history with the region, and a lot of our moves [besides just the Israel support] have rubbed a lot of people the wrong way in a big way. does this justify flying planes into buildings? hardly, but i don't buy into Islamofascists' bad attitude coming about because we allow gay adoption or women voting; by the majority of their rhetoric it would seem to be more because of the F-16s constantly zipping around their necks of the woods, literally and figuratively, so my vote goes to Red Dawn as the allegory worth the foremost regard. i'm sure Sleeper Cell has lots of dark Allah-driven evil and all, but for me, seeing how even crazier and more violent than us they just may be, it's time to consider the wisdom of just quit fucking with them. stop poking the goddamn hornet's nest already.

the 'momentum' of this mad contest goes back and forth every single day, with absolutely no end in sight, ever. to continue is not 'ensuring the safety of Good & Free Americans'. it is merely the feverish writing of more deeply dismaying chapters in Mankind's overstuffed almanac of self-destructive insanity.
