Funny Story. I think I heard read that before. Makes me wish David was playing the Steamboat again except I was drinking Rolling Rocks then.

Went to see a band by the name of Shadowbox on Thursday. Very good local band that played a venue here called The Cactus Cafe. Been following the band for about 6 months or so after seeing them at the Steamboat. Great band with a great bassists that is much older than the rest and I had wondered why they showed up to the Stephen Barber show. They like me had expected to see Eric Johnson and Monte Montgomery play. Turns out the bass player (Pat Cielply)  roomed with Stephen Barber in college and was part of the band the Electromagnets,

Also opening for them was a guy named Brent Baldwin who was Stephen Barber's conductor the night of that post Halloween concert

So I had to ask Pat Cieply (bass player). So did you meet David Baerwald that night? He was at the show? Blank stares. David Baerwald? Is he like a country and western guy. Then I said the magic word "Boomtown". Eyes lit up:):). David could do wonders for this band as a writer. They could be a breakout band but they need 2 or 3 songs to put them over.
