Found this clip of the late, great Midnight Oil at the 2000 Sydney Olympics & had to share.
The Howard government continues to be unable to acknowledge wrongs against the aboriginal people in Australia, and in 2000 the Oils, ever the provocateurs, took the native case to 3 billion people watching the Olympic closing ceremonies. Appearing onstage in black uniforms, they suddenly peeled away panels revealing the words "Sorry" to the world at large. A subtle but direct slap at the ruling conservative party.
It's a cool clip, with world athletes dancing to "Beds Are Burning":
