Being that there are many people on this board who are into alt. country artists and singer/songwriters, I have a srong recomondation for you all. His name is Josh Ritter. His latest album is entitled, "Golden Age Of Radio". The album was originally released, via his website in 2001. Earlier this year it was re-released on the Signature Sounds label for a wider audience. I bought this recording on record reviews alone, which have been to much critical aclaim. I couldn't have been more impressed! With each listen, this gentle recording becomes more complex and compelling. You can hear the ghost of Nick Drake and Townes Van Zandt in many of his songs, yet Josh is very much his own on this subtle album, that mixes county, folk and pop. So far, my album of the year!
