I loved V for Vendetta. Even in its cartoonish way its a film that actually tries to say something, its about something larger. It also continues a theme in a couple of films that have come out recently (signs O' the times) that you may be able to kill the man, the symbol, but the idea will live on. Batman Begins used the same theme, even Braveheart used it well. The power of these "vigilantes" ideas of right and justice allow bits of hope to fester. The methods are stock movie stuff but the presentation of pent up ideologies works for me, and actually give these films in particular, some weight.
That's my $ .02
