If the state GOP can shove Schlesinger aside and get Orchulli in -- which of course is easier said than done -- it would be an extraordinary development that could hand the race to Lamont. That's because Orchulli would be a credible enough candidate who'd likely pull enough GOP votes to ensure Lieberman's loss.  
Ok I'll agree the Republicans were born at night. It just was'nt last night.
