Joe Jackson has been a fave of mine since I first saw him on concert on the Big World tour. Easily still one of the best shows I have ever seen. That album was recorded live in front of a silent audience, so when they toured the crowd pretty much stayed quiet while the band performed. The song 40 Years from that album is one of the best tracks about the Cold War.

Last year he toured with the pathetic shell of a musician Todd Rundgren. I didn't know at the time that they were to be solo shows, and it was very disappointing, even though the JJ side was at least tolerable.

And the ball player wasn't too bad, either.
