I totaled a Volvo when I was a teenager...the thing is if you are going to crash a car that's a pretty good car to crash. I drove it through, yes I do mean right through, a telephone pole. When I regained consciousness the engine of the car was sitting on the ground (they are designed to drop out of the engine compartment like that I guess) still running for a couple seconds. I was uninjured and both passengers were fine. Amazing really if you saw the car...even the police were stunned. They were an ugly car back then but damn if they weren't real safe.
