Again with the broad stroke accusation that if you disagree with the current administration's foreign policies or the impending invasion of Iraq, you must hate America.

And, because we saved europe's butt 50 years ago, they are supposed to follow us blindly where ever one mediocre american president after another leads? Eternal gratitude and support on more issues than not, should be enough. I remember the live shots following the WTC attacks, there was spontaneous outpourings of support, sympathy and shared grief from all over the world, France and Germany included. They are our partners not our children, because they disagree does not mean they hate us.

Another fact that is bothering me is the media's widespread reports that Germany and France are refusing to come to Turkey's aid if attacked, as per NATO agreements. This is untrue, they do not want to began planning the defense of Turkey due to war in Iraq, until a war in Iraq has been decided. They stated unequivocally that they are willing and able to come to Turkey's defense if needed. Sorry for the tangent, but that's been bugging me . . .
