Yeah Reg,

I heard excerpts of his interview with Leslie Stahl on 60 Minutes. He said something to the effect that Christians should step back from the political spectrum and do a political “fast”. In other words he was suggesting that we not vote in the upcoming elections. After listening to him for about 5 minutes I realized I was listening to a Green Mountain Progressive Christian. I can assure you he is not a mainstream Evangelical Christian from what I have heard. By the way there were 3 attaboys from the left hailing his book on Amazon. I found this one particularly interesting.

The Bush Delusion-, October 16, 2006

The problem with faith in God is that it's a delusion to begin with. Weak minds and power often go hand in hand, and the weak minded who believe in some modern iteration of some Godhead merely fell into a time honored trap. The religious folk of the world begin with the wool over thier heads, so Bush had little risk in abusing thier pre-abused selfs.

If people are adamant that myths are true, then why not feed'em some more of what they want? At any rate, Bush lied to the self-deluded and the weak. What's new about that? Is it realy a surprise? They pretty ask for it.

And what are the religious to do? Not much. They've proven themselves incapable of rationale thought.

As far as I can tell, if you beleive in a delusion, you are crazy. Technically insane. Which makes this a crazy country. Oh well.

All 3 reviews were supportive and all 3 from lefties. That should tell you something about how mainstream Conservative Christians and Conservative Evangelicals feel.
When you get the left to agree with you I know it makes you feel good and all Reg but again you are only preaching to your choir and not mine.
