I can't quite muster the enthusiasm to buy "Continuum", even though I did buy the first two and my cousin burned me a copy of the live cd. That lead off single is f-in awful, it instantly reminded me of "Tick-Tock" one of the very few SRV efforts that I didn't like.
But, if Gene's managed to tolerate it and even give Mayer kudo's for the Hendrix cover then maybe I'll try it out. I still stand firm that Mayer's not a bona fide bluesman because of his guest work with some of his idols. Maybe being a Berklee trained, rich white boy from
Connecticut has something to do with it.
