He became a poster-boy for the war.  That's what they do, they destroy the humanity of the real person and elevate them to an icon.  And despite the lies, they hoped and expected the family, despite the deception, to fall in line and follow the play-book.  Now here's a truly American family who rightly deserves to be outraged.  Outraged.
